| ¡¶Antonov An-2 on skis¡·Before Mil¡¯s developed its heavy transport helicopters, remote camps and industrial sites in northern Siberia depended as much on bush flying as their Alaskan and Canadian counterparts still do today. The Antonov 2 was once in widespread use as Siberian bushplane, using floats to land on rivers and lakes in summer, skis to land on snow and ice in winter.
