| Ned the Steam Shovel is a member of the team called "The Pack" who works for the Sodor Construction Company. He has a big bucket and a big heart. He can sometimes be clumsy and once nearly caused Thomas to have an accident when he knocked out the keystones of a bridge. Fortunately, Jack's quick thinking and bravery saved the day.
