| BTR – 152S-Soviet Armored Command Mobile Post and Radiocar. It was developed on the base of BTR – 152V Armored Personnel Carrier. During January,1953, the full-armored artillery command mobile post was created. It was BTR – 152V with raised full-armored hull and no armament.
Year later the vehicle was transformed to serve as Armored Command Mobile Post and Radiocar, equipped with powerful R-118 radio set. BTR–152S were in serial production during 1955-1959 period and served with Soviet and Warsaw Pact armies, armed forces of soviet orientation countries. All in all 272 BTR–152S Armored Command Mobile Posts were built.
